Most pigment cells are located in the epidermis; when lasers are used on the skin, they stimulate these pigment cells as well as the dermis. eMatrix works below the epidermis, avoiding unnecessary stimulation of the epidermis. We often use eMatrix on patients who are at higher risk of pigmentation but who desire an effective collagen-stimulating treatment.
